Humboldt Forum
The structural corporate design for the interiors of the Humboldt Forum was conceived by Holzer Kobler Architekturen in cooperation with Studio Gourdin / Gourdin & Müller and follows urban principles for structuring public space. The design of all service and recreation zones as well as the guidance and orientation system conveys an open welcoming culture to the world of the Humboldt Forum with its diverse uses and arouses curiosity to explore it. With colors, materials and light, the structural corporate design adds a design level to the symmetrically and serially laid out palace architecture and sets specific identity-forming accents. In the spacious entrance hall – like the central square in a large city – visitors are captivated by the "Kosmograf", an impressive oversized information tower that serves as a luminous city advertisement. The tower is clearly visible from all perspectives of the foyer and the surrounding balustrades, and conveys information in a visual, playful manner.
