The Humboldt Forum will soon provide Berlin’s historic centre with a new forum for societal and cultural exchange. In this context, the generously proportioned access zones of the Berlin Palace will serve as expansions of the city’s public space, with their dimensions and the flows of visitors passing through them corresponding to those of a central urban plaza. For the individual visitor, the Humboldt Forum’s gargantuan size could seem almost overwhelming.
Stroll Around – Immerse Yourself – Experience It: The New Beethoven-House

The aim of the permanent exhibition in the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn is to transport visitors away from contemporary daily life and to design the topics of the exhibition in such a way that visitors not only discover the life and works of Beethoven, but also that visitors are emotionally affected by it. The diversity of the perspectives mean that the transmission of knowledge and the emotional experience complement one another.
Open House Zurich
The third edition of Open House is on in Zurich! The festival presents free access to more than 100 buildings and many guided tours on the weekend of September 29th and 30th, 2018. Some visits require a reservation.
Constructing the World
The first topical exhibition in the new building of Kunsthalle Mannheim sheds light on the economy's impact on the arts by presenting classical modern art from the 1920s and 1930s, focussing on the German Weimar Republic, the Soviet Union and the United States.
Exhibition Competition Museum Friedland
Museum Friedland has held an architectural competition for a visitor, media and documentation center, in which Barbara Holzer was a member of the jury. The competition entries are presented at the museum until September 23rd, 2018, as well as on their website.

Suurstoffi is Summer-Proof

The current hot summer is a challenge for people in Switzerland. Swiss news channel SRF has addressed architectural dealing with heat and has praised the Suurstoffi project in Rotkreuz as an exemplary construction. The site is cooled by geo-cooling in summer. In this procedure, the stored heath is even re-used in winter.
