White City in Tel Aviv

The Federal Ministry of Construction is supporting the development of a new centre for the protection of the more than 4000 historical buildings in the White City in Tel Aviv, the largest settlement of buildings erected in Bauhaus Style. Holzer Kobler Architekturen have won the idea competition for the German-Israeli Bauhaus Centre located in the Max-Liebling-House. The White City has been classified as a UNESCO-World Heritage Site since 2003. 

Construction Start NAWAREUM

The groundbreaking ceremony for the advisory and information centre for renewable energies and resources, a one-of-a-kind project in Germany, was held in Straubing. The permanent exhibition at the NAWAREUM will offer interested visitors, families, student groups and companies the opportunity to gain important insights into the innovative applications for bio economy. The opening is planned for 2020.

 

Architecture Winner

Every year, the Iconic Award of the German Design Council acknowledges visionary architecture, innovative products and sustainable communication from all fields of architecture, the construction and property sectors and the manufacturing industry. The university building Campus Messestrasse in Vienna was selected as an „Architecture Winner“ this year. 

Ground-Breaking Ceremony Messestrasse II

The study programs of the Sigmund Freud Private University will be extended by human medicine, dental medicine and pharmacy. The additional space requirements will be covered by the construction of a new building on a neighbouring plot. The ground-breaking ceremony is going to happen on the 18th of October 2016 at 10am, location: Am Freudplatz 3, Vienna.

Ettersburg Dialogues 2016

The Ettersburg Dialogues series offers decision makers in the construction and real estate industry the opportunity to exchange ideas and appoaches to take action when it comes to planning and building. This year the theme is „Mass production – series – construction culture. Solutions for the future of construction“. Philip Peterson will host a lecture about modular structures.  

Opening Exhibition St. George's Abbey

The former Benedictine abbey St. George located in the scenic town of Stein am Rhein is one of the best preserved medieval monastery complexes in Switzerland. As an initial step in the multiphased scenography project the first rooms of the new exhibition will be opened to the public allowing visitors to gain exciting insights into the past daily routines at the cloister.
