Wander Gallery Competition Won

Submitted by Melissa Caflisch on Fri, 06/22/2018 - 09:05

The goal is to design a high quality, recognizable, self-sufficient, flexible, intermodal container for a wide range of artistic interventions on a global scale.

The basic structure of the WANDER GALLERY CONTAINER is a steel frame. This frame is that of a typical robust steel overseas container which meets all of the necessary requirements for intermodal transportation via truck, train or ship. All four walls of the Gallery space are made out of glass. By replacing the exterior walls with non-reflective glass, the WANDER GALLERY CONTAINER becomes completely see-through. This transparency opens up all kinds of options for the artists to play and create with their work and strengthens the connection between the observer, the art and its surroundings.
