On 17 December 2019 Beethoven's birthplace invites as a prelude of the Beethoven anniversary year in 2020 to an open day and presents "The new Beethoven House": The redesigned, experience-driven permanent exhibition, expanded exhibit spaces, a treasury of original manuscripts, a new visitors service center with shop, dressing rooms, café and educational facilities. The official opening will take place on the evening of 16 December.
