1. Prize for Speaking Shell | Old Cemetery Judensand Mainz

Speaking Shell, the cooperation project with Sinai Landschaftsarchitekten, wins 1st prize in the competition for the visitor center for the Old Jewish Cemetery "auf dem Judensand“.

The state capital Mainz (DE) together with the SchUM sites Speyer, Worms and Mainz as well as their communities apply for the recognition of the Old Jewish Cemetery as UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tender for the competition to redesign the cemetery was about creating a communicating shell and making the cemetery a significant, inviting place of remembrance and faith as a visitor center.
