DIALOG HOCH 4, a forum about future living formats, was part of the architectural program at the belektro trade fair in Berlin. Philip Norman Peterson presented the student housing project Frankie & Johnny and joined the following panel together with Imke Woelk and Sergei Tchoban.

Architecture department lead Volker Mau was invited to the eco2friendly day, a summit where experts from various fields talk about different aspects of sustainability. He presented his view on sustainable architecture and illustrated his thoughts with projects.

Tristan Kobler is invited as a speaker to Creative Zurich Wednesday to talk about parasite architecture, and its respective challenges and opportunities, and how they shape society. Redensification project ELLI will be examined more closely as an example of a special kind of parasite architecture.

Following the speeches, Tristan Kobler and the other invited speakers, Tanja Trampe, Gudrun Ongania, and Ueli Ansorge, discuss in a panel how high quality growth is possible that is also sustainable.

Felix Platter-Hospital Showcase

The Basel section of the SIA (Swiss society of engineers and architects) presents "architecture and geriatric medicine" at their annual event  on March 15th, 2018, by exploring the Felix Platter-Hospital project more closely.

Volker Mau, partner at the Zurich studio, will talk about the architecture of the new building. The facade is finished; the hospital’s reopening is scheduled for 2019.

Barbara Holzer has explored this question in a lecture at the conference "Erinnerungskorrekturen (revised memories)", organized by the Swiss Society for Cultural Studies (SSCS) and the Archives for Contemporary History at ETH Zurich.
