The international group exhibition "Planet B - 100 Ideas for a New World" engages with the radical changes of our planet - and looks for a plan B for the future everyone is dreaming of. The NRW Forum in cooperation with partners such as the Peter Behrens School of Arts presents a selection of artists, designers, architects, scientists and entrepreneurs present their utopias for the 22nd century.

On the 8th July 2016, the semester presentation of the students of PBSA takes place within the program of Planet B, titled "In Search of Tomorrow's (Housing Design) Culture".

Megatrends that are already emerging today will alter the cultural practices related to housing. Architecture will have to adapt itself to evolving needs, values and priorities. The decentralisation of life in the course of increasing mobility, cooperative living ("sharing economy"), the flexibilisation of living space (adaptable zones), new and intelligent technologies and nature ("green"), as a part of architecture, constitute new parameters for the development of buildings and cities. Can we derive ideas for future housing design from these trends that are already discernible? As planners, are we able to influence these trends - in the sense of a relevant contribution to the (housing design) culture of the future? The visions developed by students from the class of prof. Barbara Holzer and prof. Tanja Kullack on the topic of "Leben im Morgen" ["Living Tomorrow"], will be presented, at the exhibition, on 8th July 2016 between 9.30am and 6pm.
